    comfortable room
    great bath experience
    convenient location
    lacking personal touch
    absent breakfast service

Had a nice one-night stay for exploring the local art scene. The room was beautiful and comfortable, complete with an impressive dual showerhead. It's also conveniently located near places like the Farnsworth Art Museum and Landing Gallery, which I enjoyed visiting. I did miss the personal touch usually found at a bed and breakfast, as there was no one around to provide service during breakfast.

beautiful late 18th-century building, comfortable ornate inn, dual showerhead in bath

No one available for check-in or check-out!!! Breakfast seemed like a simple motel experience without fresh service or personal touch!!! More engaging interactions would make a difference!!!

    human element

Staying at Talbot House Bed & Breakfast was a good experience! The beautiful late 18th-century architecture, coupled with an excellent breakfast at the nearby Berry Manor Inn, made it special. The dual showerhead in the Beautiful Queen Room added a luxurious touch to our stay.

    Missed the human element.

    beautiful building
    comfortable decor
    dual showerhead
    basic breakfast
    lack of service

Rockland Talbot House is a beautiful late 18th-century building with comfortable decor. The Beautiful Queen Room had a fantastic dual showerhead. Enjoyed the convenience of nearby dining and the spacious seating area in our room.

Breakfast felt basic and lacked personal service.

    beautiful architecture
    comfortable bedding
    lack of staff presence
    impersonal breakfast experience
    limited breakfast options

The building impresses with its late 18th-century architecture and has been lovingly maintained, offering a comfortable and ornate stay. The bed in the Beautiful Queen Room was excellent, and the dual showerhead added a luxurious touch. While breakfast options included local bread, the experience felt lacking without staff presence to enhance the service. A staff member, Mary, stood out with her gracious assistance, yet a more personalized service at breakfast would elevate the experience further.

    Couple's perfect getaway

We were greeted like family as soon as we arrived! The owners Cheryl and Mike made sure we felt right at home, surprising. The evening pie service was a nice touch. It, like no detail was too small.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive but still manageable.

The breakfast and desserts were delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful in providing recommendations. the location was also convenient and allowed for easy access to nearby attractions.

The overall cleanliness was not up to par and we encountered several issues with stains and dust in our room. the bed was uncomfortable and made for a restless night's sleep.

We had an amazing stay! We were impressed by the really good staff service; they even booked a dinner table for us on very short notice. Clean and cozy room, along with prompt breakfasts, made our stay comfortable. The hotel's location was fantastic, and we appreciated the transportation facilities.

    Absolutely nothing.

the comfortable bedroom and clean bathroom were also highlights, as were the delicious breakfasts and complimentary sweet treats available every evening.

Occasionally, the room could have been tidied up a little more thoroughly for my return, though this didn't take away from the overall experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious 4-star hotel and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. First of all, the location was ideal - centrally located and within easy reach of all the local attractions. The service provided by the staff was exceptional. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had a wonderful stay, from offering helpful sight-seeing suggestions to making last-minute dinner reservations at top-notch restaurants. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail in terms of housekeeping was truly commendable.

In short, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The amenities provided, such as the free toiletries and flat-screen TV, added an extra touch of luxury.
